Who Can Check Out Equipment?

SI Computing makes the equipment listed below available for checkout for course- and research-associated use. This equipment is only available to the following people:

  • UMSI faculty
  • UMSI staff
  • UMSI students
    • MSI
    • PHD in Information
    • MHI
    • BSI

Can I reserve equipment for the future?

  • Reservations can be made on a first-come, first-served basis by visiting 1275 North Quad during business hours, or placing an email request to 4help@umich.edu.  If emailing your request, please mention your location and affiliation.

How long can I check out equipment?

  • This equipment is not intended for long-term checkout, so checkout times are usually limited to a few days
  • Depending on current demand, we may extend checkouts for longer time periods, like a week or two
  • Reserved equipment can be picked up during normal business hours (Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm) in room 1275 NQ
  • Items should be returned before noon on their due date, unless alternate arrangements have been made
  • If equipment is checked out on Friday, it may be returned the following Monday
